Boats: Types And Structure ►

Boats have been in the use of man for thousands of years. Whether it be for finding sustenance in the form of catching fish, or naval military expeditions to conquer more territory and overpower the enemy, people have used boats for various purposes since ancient times.
Through the passage of science, the use of new materials to build them, and research has played a big part in design, manufacturing materials, and the way they are moved on water.
The first type among boats for sale Dubai by MBC Yachts, and also the most widely known and oldest is the boat without electric power, or moved by man. These are mostly made of wood, making them quite durable, and include popular varieties like canoes and kayaks.
The next variety, which is also very popular, especially in tourism and showcasing circles is the sailboat, which uses a sail, which is essentially a large piece of cloth or airtight material, allowing the use of the direction of the wind to move across the water. Even though this enables it to save on fuel costs from a motor, it is strictly dependent on the direction of the wind, which if changed, will hamper getting to the destination.

The third type is the motorboat, which as the name suggests, relied on power from an electric motor, which usually runs on fuel. Although this drives up operating costs and maintenance, perhaps even leaving the boat and people in it stranded in the middle of sea, if for example fuel runs out or the motor encounters mechanical failure, it provides a great deal of speed for propulsion, making it perfect for use in watersports.
Even though not necessarily a separate category and more oddly classified as a motorboat, there is the ski boat, which is used for water skiing. Its popularity is perhaps best routed in the speed it provides, for the skier to glide onto the water, also sometimes performing odd maneuvers.
Most people would say the hull is the most important part of a boat, since it ensures the upper parts of the boat stay above water, a term referred to as buoyance.
The upper part of the boat, where people make their stay is the deck, usually made of wood or a tough, waterproof material.
The covered parts or could say the hosting area on the deck is referred to as the cabin, which on yachts, would be a large indoor space, stocked with rooms, lounges and bars.
